WHO WE ARE
How we started.
Founded by Angela Wells and Liz Churton, Tailored Education Solutions (TES) arose from two passionate educators’ recognition of the need for a more inclusive and personalised approach to education. Their focus: students with diverse learning needs, especially those who have been out of education for extended periods. Driven by the rising numbers of young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and high rates of youth not in education, employment, or training (NEET), TES provide a unique educational model. This model combines individualised learning plans, flexible teaching methods and vocational training.
From its inception, TES has been guided by principles of inclusivity, equity, and innovation. The organisation invests in creative and adaptable methodologies and ongoing professional development. Today, TES continues to evolve, striving to create an environment where every student—regardless of their challenges – thrives and reaches their full potential.
Liz Churton
Liz Churton is a highly experienced education professional with over 25 years of experience as a teacher and headteacher in challenging secondary schools. Her extensive background in education has honed her exceptional creativity and resourcefulness in navigating complex situations. Currently, Liz focuses her expertise on researching and teaching young people with complex needs, further enhancing her ability to develop innovative educational solutions.
Angela Wells
Angela Wells is a highly skilled education professional with more than 30 years of experience spanning primary and secondary education. Since 2010, she has spearheaded school improvement initiatives, working closely with local authorities and universities to train and develop teachers. Angela’s leadership has been pivotal in guiding three challenging secondary schools to achieve rapid progress and sustainable growth, showcasing her expertise in educational management and reform.

At TES, we specialize in supporting neurodiverse students. Our team creates tailored learning environments and strategies for individuals with conditions like autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. We focus on enhancing strengths, developing coping skills, and fostering self-advocacy to ensure each student’s success.
